AI is everywhere right now. I use it too, mostly as a quick scratch pad. But when I want a point of view, I go looking for a person.
This blog is my attempt to be that person for someone else.
Partly for me.
Writing here forces me to slow down and name what I am hearing. If I cannot explain why I chose a compressor setting or a harmony line, I probably have not decided yet.
It also keeps a little trail of my thinking over time. That matters when I am trying to improve, not just finish songs.
As a quiet bonus, it is a simple way to point people to my music. If you are curious, give it a listen.
Partly for you.
When I am stuck on a niche question, I usually end up reading real blogs. Chatbots give me the clean answer, but I want the messy part too. I want to know what someone tried, what did not work, and what finally clicked.
That is the kind of detail I want to share here for anyone who cares about making music.
I want this to sound like a person in a room, not a summary.
What you will find here.
I write about songwriting, production decisions, mixing notes, release strategy, and the little lessons that come from shipping creative work. If I can make one part of the process clearer for you, the post did its job.
If you want more posts like this plus occasional music making notes, join the Kit list below. I only send what is worth reading.
